This amazing 100 kilogram .99999 (five nines) ultra pure gold coin was made for the investor who wants something more than just a solid investment in gold. This one comes with bragging rights to owning one of the highest face value coins in the world (with a $1 million Canadian face value), and when it was first produced in 2007 it was also the largest gold coin in the world. (More recently a 1,000 kilogram coin was produced in Australia, but of course the 1,000 kilo coin just isn’t in every investor’s budget.)
As Canada’s largest authorized Royal Canadian Mint Distributor of collector coins, we are pleased to offer one example of the Million Dollar coin for immediate purchase. While the coin is not currently stored on site, images are
available showing the coin on display in the store a few years ago. The first Canadian Million Dollar Coin was released in May of 2007, and was initially used to market the Royal Canadian Mint’s new line of .99999 fine one ounce Gold Maple Leaf coins. However, a number of investors expressed interest in owning the coin, and the Royal Canadian Mint authorized the sale of up to 10 coins. Only a few remain available.
