This 2017 $20 fine silver coin is the first in the new “Canada’s Coasts” series and features a stunning sunset on Canada’s beautiful Pacific coast together with a unique maple leaf portrayal. Adding to its collectability, the mintage is limited to just 7,500. As a pure silver coin struck by the Royal Canadian Mint, this item is HST/GST exempt.
The reverse image by Curtis Atwater features an orca swimming along the mountainous Pacific coastline. The whale’s dorsal fin and the tallest mountain peak point the eye upward to a warm orange and yellow maple leaf sunset, which is also reflected in the waters below. Detailed engraving and selective colouring make the sunset glow and the Pacific waters shimmer.
