The fourth coin in our exclusive Masters Club series of historic proof dollar designs! This striking design,
originally released in 1994, presents the National War Memorial to honour the sacrifice of Canadians during
times of war.
The reverse presents the National War Memorial as viewed from the southwest corner of Confederation Park
with a vertically oriented design that underscores the magnitude of the more than 21-metre tall cenotaph.
The Memorial is plated in gold. The obverse design features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by
Dora de Pédery-Hunt that appeared on the original proof dollar. Her Majesty’s effigy is also plated in gold.
This stunning silver coin features selective gold plating on both the
reverse and the obverse to bring depth to the original 1994 design.
