Canadian artist Luc Normandin designed the reverse which features a period map inspired by Didier Robert de Vaugondy, a renowned map maker of the mid 1700’s. The map shows the region where the Seven Years War was fought in North America and is accompanied by a commemorative banner at the coin’s centre that is flanked by the Royal Arms of France (left) and Britain (right).
