Description Technical Specs Extended Information
This is a near perfect gem uncirculated example of a 1967 silver dollar with original toning. It has been independently third party certified by ICCS (International Coin Certification Service) as Mint State 65. This is a sharply struck example with near perfect surface with original toning, and comes presented in a mahogany finish case. The front design features a serene and dynamic Canada Goose designed by artist and sculptor Alex Colville. The back features the second “mature” effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.

While uncirculated 1967 silver dollars are relatively common, the majority of these coins have substantial “bag marks” or “contact marks” from banging or rubbing against other coins in the production process or from being transported in large canvas bags. Near perfect examples like this coin are found about one in every 5,000 coins, and are both rare and highly sought after by collectors.

1967 is significant not only as the Centennial year, but also as the final year that silver dollars were ever issued for circulation in Canada. The coin comes protected in a professional hard acrylic display holder.
