An exceptional tribute to the 40th anniversary of its bullion Gold Maple Leaf counterpart first issued in 1979.
This 99.99% pure gold coin features a reverse design by Canadian artist Nathalie Lagacé. Presented in the style of botanical art, three different sizes of sugar maple (Acer saccharum) leaves are gently overlapped to ensure an unobstructed view of the finely engraved details, which dazzle in a reverse-proof finish. The privy mark “40 YEARS – ANS” is struck on each reverse, along with the double dates “1979” and “2019” to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Gold Maple Leaf (GML).
This coin comes encapsulated for protection (without outer clamshell case). HST/GST exempt.
